Regent Street, London. c.1900.
In the top photograph you can make out a motor-car at the bottom right of the picture, vying for road space with the carriages, cabs and omnibuses.
The picture below is of Peter Robinson, which was a department store founded in 1891 with a branch on both Regent and Oxford Street.
